No, I’m not prodding a sharp pointed stick at you – I would if I thought it would help, though. I’m just encouraging you as strongly as I can to get yourself to a movie theater on January 20th or at least sometime that weekend to watch this movie.
The trailers look great, and it’s just the kind of movie we want to vote for with our wallets. You’ve heard of Jim Eliot, Nate Saint, Ed McCully, Pete Fleming and Roger Youderian? This movie is about them (and their families) and the tribe they were killed by and tried so hard to save. It was filmed with the cooperation of both the tribe and Steve Saint, Nate’s son, who actually still lives with the tribe. The Waodani tribe originally said they didn’t want to be involved. Until they heard of Columbine – then they decided that if their story can help others stop killing and live in peace, it would be worth it to do the film.
Everybody wants clean, wholesome entertainment – but they won’t build it if you don’t come. So mark your calendars now! And check out www.endofthespear.com and www.daretomakecontact.com.
