I am so very sad to be reading about this but at the same time not surprised in the slightest. It was only a matter of time before people began to realize what's happening with insurance corporations, the medical whores posing as caregivers and the thoroughly predictable silence of the mainstream media. This has been going on to the north of you in Canada a long time and if the American people opt for any form of socialized medicine as there is in Canada it will become much worse. The most common method is the use of covert rationing while watching a patient slowly die. It's a real money saver!

Healthcare worldwide has become unaccountable.

[...] The BBC scenarios are interesting, and the comments are frequently terrifying. So many people feel empowered to take another person’s life, if what they perceive to be the greater good is served. The problem is, people no longer have a clear idea what is right and what is wrong. Commenters mention several different rationales about how they would make decisions on who gets to live - age, superiority, and relationship are three factors mentioned. This is how we end up with an ethics committee deciding that Andrea Clark must die. I remember years ago, when the Netherlands legalized euthanasia, they actually had a TV show in a game show format to debate who should live and who should die. There are no standards anymore. People with no firm foundation to stand on are trying to weigh and balance heavy things. They aren’t equipped to do it. In those days there was no king in Israel, but every man did that which was right in his eyes. (Judges 17:6) [...]

[...] You may remember Andrea Clark, the woman that the “ethics” committee at St. Luke’s Episcopal Hospital and BCBS wanted to euthanize. I posted about her in Blue Cross Blue Shield - Killing Andrea Clark for Profit? and Great News About Andrea Clark! Sadly, Freedom Watch posted today that Andrea Clarke Has Died. Her sister said, We wish so much that we could have spent more time at our sister’s side, when she was living and fighting for her life, rather than having to visit our attorney’s office, give interviews to radio and television stations to let the public know of the atrocity about to befall Andrea, and literally stand outside the hospital and beg them not to kill our sister. In attempting to deprive Andrea of the most basic of her human rights–life–St. Luke’s Hospital managed to deprive her family and her of that which is most dear to us all, when we are faced with the death of a loved one: a proper goodbye.
URGENT ACTION:...

This story has been perculating in the blogosphere for the last couple of days and it seems to be uniting “sworn enemies” behind one woman in Houston — Republicans and Democrats, conservatives and liberals. I’ve seen little about it in the mainstream.....
