Justice for Immigrants

Jay Tea has a wonderful solution for illegal immigration that is fair to the legal immigrants and provides a pathway to legalization for the illegals.

I propose that for every illegal alien deported to their home country, one applicant currently going through the legal process is chosen at random for expedited processing. We, at once, punish the law-breakers and reward those obeying the laws.

We do need to streamline the process for legals in any event - seven to ten years is too long. And I don’t think it should be random - just pick the next person in line. But connecting the deportation of illegals with the citizenship of illegals is an excellent idea. That, together with a Jurassic Park style fence at the border, will show the GOP base that the people we put in office are responsive to our wishes and deserve another term. It also shuts down the “racist” complaints to a point because the GOP doesn’t “hate Latinos,” we just don’t appreciate people acting like they have some kind of inherent right to violate our sovereignty and consume our tax dollars.

All of this Mexican-flag-waving “we didn’t cross the border, the border crossed us” nonsense is incompatible with the “we love America and just want to be citizens” spokesmen. They can’t have it both ways. If they have the right to be here because they want a do-over of 1848, then we are de facto at war with Mexico and we should act like it. If they just love America so much, then they need to obey our immigration and labor laws. It’s that simple.
