But Don’t Question Their Patriotism!

Representative John Murtha (D) has once again stabbed the troops in the back, confidently and publicly calling them cold-blooded murderers.
“There was no firefight. There was no [bomb] that killed those innocent people,” Murtha explained, adding there were “about twice as many” Iraqis killed than Time had reported.
Let’s check the record of inflammatory, and so far unfounded Democrat claims:
Characterizing Republicans as the party of corruption. And yet -
-Barbara Boxer has funneled tens of thousands of dollars to her family from her PAC.
-Harry Reid has ties to Abramoff.
-Chuck Schumer’s staffer committed identity theft in order to look for dirt against (black) Republican Michael Steele.
-Alan Mollohan is accused of committing over 250 violations of House ethics rules.
-Not to mention William Jefferson and the bribery convictions.
Dick Durbin accused the troops of running a concentration camp at Gitmo, with comparisons to the greatest mass murderers of the century.
Pretty much everything the left has said about the war since before it began has been wrong.
Murtha insists that we’re losing, a charge that is demonstrably false. If al Queda can admit we’re winning, why can’t Murtha?
Then we have all the leaks that the Democratic media lapdogs keep releasing. I guess it’s their little way of keeping it all “fair and balanced.” We certainly wouldn’t want to have an unfair advantage over al Queda. We have the best military in the world, they have the MSM, the best propaganda machine in the world.
With every leak, the Democrats’ accusations against our security agencies, government and troops are more shrill. And yet the most inflammatory leaks of late seem to be false. No apologies have been given, no acknowledgement that leaks help the enemy, nothing has been walked back, the rhetoric has not been toned down. If anything it has escalated.
Now, in the midst of an investigation, Murtha has chosen to try and convict our troops in the press. This cheap publicity stunt is unbecoming to a United States Congressman. If the charges are proved true, Murtha is well within his rights to shout it from the rooftops - although hanging his head in shame would certainly be more appropriate.
Why again can’t we question their patriotism?
