I've thought these people were insane for some time, but now it's really coming out. I'm enjoying this a little too much, I think.
Look, I feel pretty strongly about this election too. I Do. Not. Want! Obama to win. However... I'm resting in the sure and absolute knowledge that it's going to be okay either way.
What's the difference between me and those lunatics? I believe America is a good country. A strong country. We can handle four or eight years of bad leadership; longer than that if necessary. Look at how many decades the Democrats had a solid lock on Congress! We survived it. We survived Carter, arguably one of the worst presidents in American history. Aside from that God is good, and he is sovereign. So it's going to be okay.
Relax, people. It's an important election, but it's not the end of the world.
A new script about the life of former Weather Underground leader William Ayers is making the rounds in Hollywood, and the co-screenwriter hopes that the recent hubbub surrounding Barack Obama's ties to the Sixties radical will "at least get people interested" in it. ... Adapted from Ayers' 2001 memoir of the same name, the script has received "nibbles but no bites," said Hancock, who is hoping to direct the film if it is eventually produced.
It's not that they are reluctant to glamorize leftists and terrorists. If it weren't an election year, they'd be on it like white on rice. But even discussing a movie like this right now hurts The One, and we can't have that, can we?
