President Bush: $9,000. Ward Churchill: $11,943.81

The cost of two celebrity visits - President Bush’s recent visit to Wisconsin will cost Ozaukee County taxpayers $9,000 for the additional security, cleanup, etc. He visited a shoe factory in that county but the overall purpose of his trip was a campaign fundraiser for somebody in Milwaukee.
Ward Churchill’s visit to UW-Whitewater in Wisconsin cost $11,943.81.
Yes, I know there are a *boatload* of additional costs for a Presidential visit; Air Force One, Secret Service, etc. etc…. But for some reason, the contrast just struck me as funny.
