    While I’m a registered Republican, I vote for candidates instead of parties. I don’t always vote for conservatives. Personally, I think Jesus would hate much of what the Republican party stands for… and I think many Republican candidates simply PRETEND to hold conservative values simply to gain votes.

    I asked my ex-wife what makes her vote for a candidate. She replied “whether or not they’re pro-life”. I then pointed out to her that Republican Presidents have held office for a total of more than 20 years since Roe-v-Wade, yet abortions are still legal. The point is that some issues aren’t going to change, and we should focus on issues we believe in that can actually be changed by those for whom we vote.
