While I'm a registered Republican, I vote for candidates instead of parties. I don't always vote for conservatives. Personally, I think Jesus would hate much of what the Republican party stands for... and I think many Republican candidates simply PRETEND to hold conservative values simply to gain votes.

I asked my ex-wife what makes her vote for a candidate. She replied "whether or not they're pro-life". I then pointed out to her that Republican Presidents have held office for a total of more than 20 years since Roe-v-Wade, yet abortions are still legal. The point is that some issues aren't going to change, and we should focus on issues we believe in that can actually be changed by those for whom we vote.

Any parents out there, please make sure your children are always buckled in when riding around in the automobile. Life is too precious, and we don’t know when it can end. I never want to read a story again like the one of Belle and Piper Hale.

The Halloween Grinches Among Us

I've come across a few bloggers who are not going to let their children celebrate Halloween this year. The reason? They think it is a pagan holiday. Here's a flash for you: All Christian Holidays are based upon pagan festivals.

There are 6 Chinese Nobel Laureates, almost the same number as Arab Nobel Laureates. Let me explain how they are related. But first, some background.
