I just noticed this blistering editorial by Cinnamon Stillwell on Jimmy Carter’s new book. It’s a great roundup of criticism for the book. I haven’t read it, but I can at least think of one good thing about it. It’s not more poetry this time. It can’t be worse than that, or if it can, I don’t want to know about it. If he had just quit while he was ahead, with his Habitat for Humanity work, he could have had a decent legacy. Now we’re all reminded of what an appeasing, pathetic, stupid, anti-semitic fool Carter has been for all of his political career.
And here’s an interesting article from Stillwell’s blog. (Regrettably, it’s Blogger, but she gets props for having one at all.) Denounce Judaism and Get an A
A clip from a lengthy quote from Aleksandra Fliegler about her experiences at San Francisco State University (SFSU).
In the few days that followed we had press conferences, riot squad on campus and threats. The Hillel house had to be guarded overnight in fear of assault. On campus, two fit black guys got in my way in an attempt to prevent me from speaking to the reporters: “If she makes a sound, break her f—g neck.” Nope, it’s real. Suddenly it dawned on me: I am a Jew and I’ve got nowhere to run. I’ve already made one escape hoping to leave all the trouble behind, in the old country. If I can’t be a Jew in America, then where?
Read both articles, they’re excellent.

Jimmy Carter is becoming such an embarrassment for the US.
That is one man I wish would just stick to swinging a hammer.
OT here.
My husband’s cousin Kelly is one of the three men lost on Mt. Hood in Oregon. Please keep them and their families in your prayers.

I have not read Jimmy Carters book either, but I believe in the premise of the title of his latest book, “Peace, Not Apartheid”. Israel and American support of Israel is the main source of instability in the world today.
You are entitled to believe as you wish, of course, but radical Islam is actually the main source of instability in the world today, not the Jews, and not the country of Israel.
Israel has the right to exist. There was never a nation called Palestine. There are no ancient leaders, no currencies, and no ancient histories of a country called Palestine.
And even Dhimmi Carter admits that the wall is not apartheid – he admits he selected that word for the title to be dramatic. Non-Jews can run for office, vote, and take part in Israeli society. That is not apartheid. The wall has decreased Pali terror attacks by over 90%. The wall doesn’t keep anyone in – it keeps terrorists OUT. That is not apartheid.
