Zguo - you seem to be under the misconception that Pou committed euthanasia. She did not. She is completely innocent, as are the two nurses.

That said, I also am against euthanasia. Good luck on your paper. You might also want to study how food and water are often withheld in order to starve/dehydrate patients to death when active euthanasia isn't possible. That happens ALL THE TIME. Doctors tell families what a peaceful, calm death it is and how it's better for the patient to "go" that way rather than continue to be kept "artificially" alive - what they don't say is "rather than keep using up expensive hospital bed space while your insurance company nags the crap out of me to get this person OUT of here one way or the other."

People do still remember what happened two years ago in New Orleans, hurricane Katrina destroyed the city, and many people died at that time. But, People may not still remember some cases of euthanasia came out after storm. One year ago, Dr. Anna Dou and two nurses were arrested by doing euthanasia to 4 patients who it was difficult to evacuate. According to the recent report, the Dr. Anna Dou will not be charged in Katrina deaths. So, the controversy arise again, is it ethical to do the euthanasia? The case of Dr.Anna provides that there is a gap about euthanasia or physician-assisted suicide is illegal or legal behavior. Since then, I became to pay more attention about what really happened, and what is the motive caused Dr and nurse did that. When I first saw the possible topics of my second project writing, seemly everyone has its unique part that interest my. But, physician-assisted suicide or euthanasia catches my eyes. It is hard to say that practicing such action is wrong or is right, different people have different voices. So, in my paper, I am going to do more research to discover more information, and I will focus on some details, such as background of physician-assisted suicide, difference between the euthanasia and PSA, compare two different views, and talk about if it is legal to do so. Let me give you a little hint about my position, I am the one against the euthanasia, because such activity is morally wrong, and it may has potential abuse effect.

Hurray, finally something good happened. Not just good but right. We have become a Nation of blamers. We always seem to need to hang someone for our own blundering mistakes. Thank God I have found site where I can say God Bless You Dr. Pou. I have donated and will continue to do so as often as I can. thank You for this site.
