Pay money… pay a penalty… But you can still stay in the country.
That’s amnesty.
Oh, and Huckabee was for the surge before he was against it… or something like that.

About Laura
A U.K. millionaire is selling his business and getting rid of his possessions. He's going to help orphans in Uganda. "I try to live my life in a way that pleases God," he said. "I've never been more sure about anything in my life."
David Vitter's tele-town hall just robocalled me, and of course, I'm sticking around to listen to the bitter end. What's really hilarious is that every second or third question, the person also tosses in a slam against Mary Landrieu, commenting on her unresponsiveness especially with regard to the health care bill. If she were up for re-election this year, she'd be toast.
My son in law is leaving for Iraq today - please keep him and my daughter in your prayers. And blogging will be light, because after we bring him to his base, I'll be hanging out with my daughter the rest of the day.
Something interesting over at Moonbattery - Women attempting to pray in the male-only section of a mosque were threatened with arrest last week. You may be wondering what Middle Eastern craphole this happened in. Try Washington DC.
Something cute from my inbox:
For years, commentators have been saying that the New Orleans Saints were so bad at playing football that hell would freeze over before they would ever win the Super Bowl. On Sunday, February 7, 2010 the Saints won the Super Bowl.
On that same Sunday, Washington D.C. was paralyzed under several feet of snow and the Federal Government was shut down.
Well, at least we know where hell is.

Guiliani and McCain are both trying to redefine “amnesty” so that they can claim they have always been against it. It’s not going to work. They think the voting public in the U.S. are a bunch of ignorant fools. We are not. The McCain-Kennedy amnesty bill, if passed, would have given Z visas to every illegal alien in the U.S. The bill required that the alien receive the visa within 48 hours of submitting an application. (The average FBI background check for a U.S. citizen takes about 6 months to complete). Once the illegal alien received the Z visa, they had a legal right to remain in the U.S. indefinitely. McCain can claim he’s never supported amnesty until he’s blue in the face — or until lightening strikes him for telling so many bald-faced lies — but it’s never going to change the facts. And the same goes for Rudy “All illegal aliens are welcome in NY” Guiliani, as well as Mike “Free taxpayer-funded scholarships for illegal alien students and a $1 a year rent for the Mexican consulate in Little Rock” Huckabee.
I hadn’t heard about the Mexican Consulate – one more item for my list. Thanks!
