Guiliani and McCain are both trying to redefine "amnesty" so that they can claim they have always been against it. It's not going to work. They think the voting public in the U.S. are a bunch of ignorant fools. We are not. The McCain-Kennedy amnesty bill, if passed, would have given Z visas to every illegal alien in the U.S. The bill required that the alien receive the visa within 48 hours of submitting an application. (The average FBI background check for a U.S. citizen takes about 6 months to complete). Once the illegal alien received the Z visa, they had a legal right to remain in the U.S. indefinitely. McCain can claim he's never supported amnesty until he's blue in the face -- or until lightening strikes him for telling so many bald-faced lies -- but it's never going to change the facts. And the same goes for Rudy "All illegal aliens are welcome in NY" Guiliani, as well as Mike "Free taxpayer-funded scholarships for illegal alien students and a $1 a year rent for the Mexican consulate in Little Rock" Huckabee.
