K-Ville Cancelled

Posted at 1:03 pm in PersonalAdd comments

Well, K-Ville, the show I love to hate is cancelled.

I was worried about the show’s treatment of New Orleans and I was right to be - a key plot device was that a major character was in Orleans Parish Prison and narrowly escaped drowning by holding his cellmate under water. Then he escaped. The truth is that while the prison did experience minor flooding, nobody drowned, and nobody escaped. That was just one of many, many avoidable annoyances.

My daughter and I were actually in episode 6 - a variation on a locked-room mystery set in a church. In spite of the fact that many details and plot devices used on the show grated on my nerves, I enjoyed the characters. I especially liked Marlin Boulet, portrayed by Anthony Anderson. So while I’m not that upset about the show’s cancellation, I am looking forward to seeing what Anderson does next.

Well now that K’Ville is cancelled Anthony Anderson is in negotiations to replace Jesse Martin on Law and Order.. While I think Anderson is funny sometimes he tries to be too funny and just ruins the show.

I liked the show very much and I think anything fillmed in New Orleans is good for the city’s economy and its people. They should of kept it on I am very dissappointed

I am really disappointed to hear that K-VILLE was cancelled I really liked it and looked forward to seeing it. I feel it was good for the city of New Orleans which could use some help. Anything that can be done to bring it back?

I doubt it. It’s a pity too, because there’s a lot of shows more deserving of cancellation.

I was visiting New Orleans when filming began on K-ville. The locals were thrilled to have something other than a documentary about Katrina being made. I am very sorry to see it go. It was interesting, fun and even uplifting. As New Orleans rose from the ashes, so did Cobb. New beginnings!!!!!!!

I really liked that show. I never saw it on tv i watched it on the web.i liked the way the Cobb character had been on the wrong side of the law and then went to serve and protect his country and then his city.i remain hopeful that perhaps they can bring it back with maybe charlie and trevor as partners.?

I think that like all the others this is sad…. I recently visited New Orleans and to see that the city and people were giving a lot of good vibes about the show….. they go and canceled the show….. Just when you were at the edge of your seat to see what happens next, the show is done….. Ridiculous!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I could think of 5 other shows on FOX that should have gotten the AXE before this show….. Anyway of bringing it back……….

I cant believe this show has been canceled. Pretty soon there will be NOTHING to watch on tv. I held this show right up there with “The Shield”, one of my favorites…………….guess good programming was thrown out with the trash from the writers strike. Such a pity. Who tells people who are in charge to cancel this stuff? They wouldnt know good programming if it hit them in the face………………think I’ll throw my tv out with the trash too.

I totally agree with everyone. This show was very interesting a new type of show on television rather than a reality dating show or a talent show. Maybe because this show didn’t get the ratings it deserved going up against reality TV but at least deserved another season. The characters were interesting and it really gave a light/hope to New Orleans after Katrina. Such a shame…

    Its a shame…..

What I found most interesting about the show was, the plots!
Talk about the mystery and the UNpredictable twisting and turning of the story.
And to think, when I watched each and every episode, ” I was there in New Orleans!” It was so real, seemed unscripted, just natural…

I loved this show!!! I live in NYC and really enjoyed seeing places in New Orleans. I wish it would be picked up by a cable station (if it is I will get cable!). Or at least release it on DVD.
