Do you want John McCain or Hillary Clinton to select the next SCOTUS nominee?

A talking head on Fox said that someone in the McCain camp just asked the question – who do you want to select the next Supreme Court nominee, Hillary Clinton or John McCain?

Actually, one of my biggest gripes with McCain is that he steadfastly refused to let President Bush’s nominees get up or down votes. In effect, McCain already has had a bigger part in selecting a SCOTUS nominee than the President, by appropriating a veto privilege to which he is not entitled.

And now, NOW he wants to play the “who’s going to select SCOTUS?” card as a way of boosting his candidacy? No, I’m not buying. McCain’s already made it clear who ultimately gets to decide who makes it to the Supreme Court – a handful of rogue Senators.

Added: A White House press release sent out today says it all:

There are more than 180 highly-qualified nominees awaiting a fair vote in the Senate. Of these nominees, 30 have been waiting more than a year for a Senate vote, about half have been waiting 100 days or longer, and nine nominees have been waiting more than two years. The Senate’s continued delay in confirming these nominees means good people are becoming increasingly discouraged from entering into public service.

Lecturing us on how critical the President is in the nominating process rings rather hollow right about now, Senator McCain.

Before you vote at all, do a Google search for Raila Odinga Obama and find out how deeply involved with Islam Obama actually is. You might also do Googles for CAIR Obama and Obama church. Give it just 5 minutes of your time.

    Then decide.
