As a follow up to this post which considers what society in general should be doing about the STD epidemic, here’s an article that specifically challenges Christians in this area – by a Christian who has a sexually transmitted disease.
The media often expect Christians to scoff or respond judgmentally to sexual sin. What if, instead, we were the first people to extend open arms to suffering young women? What if we offered our churches and our homes as places where they could talk about their secret? It seems to me that’s how Jesus would respond.
