Given Obama’s unfortunate moment of truth telling, (and you have to go to MM’s for the best photoshop ev-ar; I left a comment asking if I can take that graphic for use in my sidebar) I’m reposting another liberal moment of truth – what they really think of the affirmative action college admissions they fight tooth and nail for. Obama’s backpedaling desperately, and the fact is this isn’t going to make a difference in the long run because the media will smooth it over for him. But it’s very entertaining right now, so we might as well make the most of it.
Ed Morrissey says,
It would be difficult to be any more condescending or insulting in so many ways to so many voters in a single sentence. It reveals a deeply elitist and shockingly callow candidate. It’s the “Let them eat cake” of 2008.
And he’s right, but that still doesn’t make it news. We’ve all known that he’s like this for some time. His wife and pastor have done a good job of illustrating the mindset that Obama is comfortable being around, so why wouldn’t we conclude he thinks along those lines too? Of course he does. It’s just amusing to see him out himself for it.
Cold Fury describes it as, “Vote for me, bitter religious rubes!”
And just think how long it is until the election is over. I’m going to need to stock up on the popcorn. This just keeps getting better and better. Or is that bitter and bitter?

Here’s what surprising, that [] even got into Harvard Law! How an ivy league school with its self proclaimed ‘best of the best’ cry, can admit an [] is beyond me. He’s so disappointing on many levels. Then there’s Richardson, at the debate, saying he knows [] and his humble origins, and [] is a Harvard Law School graduate! Tuition is sky high therefore, [] ain’t that humble (or smart, IMO). Somebody, please explain to me HOW this happens!

I was SHOCKED to hear that [] had graduated from Harvard and wondered how he got admitted. I’m sure the fact that he’s a minority played into his admission. He’s sucked up to people who’d otherwise be employing him as their gardener. [...]. Sure, they hate him for what he’s done that they think is wrong. And I’m no fan of the guy myself, for other reasons. But instead of sticking to their policy grievances, they go for the race/class card. This happens whenever a minority crosses their racial picket line to join conservatives; from Clarence Thomas, Condi Rice, pundits including Michelle Malkin, Bob Parks, La Shawn Barber… Draw your own conclusions. And consider the reaction if conservatives had said these things about a liberal.

How anyone label Senator Obama an eliste is totally communistic in its lack of insight. Not every American grew up loving hunting. Quite a number would prefer not returning to the days of the old west where everyone and their horse toted a weapon and settle every matter with a shoot out. And I, as a follower of our Lord and Saviior, lean on prayer everyday of my life as I’m sure the Senator does.He was merely pointed out that sometimes even God fearing, good folk of all backgrounds when faced with the sort of injustices so many of us are facing not with the rising cost of gas, a war costing thousands of brave young youth fight in Iraq, skyrocking job loss and health cost; food cost and shareful fleeing of helpless American of all races losing their dream home to legalize criminal business practices.
Stop and Think, Please. Senator Obama is waging a war for fair treatment for all -not for the real wealth elitist pulling down hugh bonuses by sticking it to us like Enron and American oil bandits.
That word, “communistic” – it doesn’t mean what you think it means. As to the rising cost of gas, we have Dems to thank for that; they’ve been mismanaging and sabotaging energy policy for decades. We’re not allowed to drill in the U.S.; we haven’t opened a new refinery in about 15 years, we can’t have wind farms, and we can’t build nuclear plants, which is the cleanest energy currently available.
The economy has been going along great for years, and it’s only just recently shifted into cruise control where the level of growth has slowed – not even stopped, but just slowed! Go read this article about the economy. And as for those bandit corporations – if you’ve got a 401k, you’re one of them. Stop and think for a minute how the food actually gets to your table – people provide goods and services because they want profit. You don’t work for free, do you? Don’t you want the highest pay you can get? Ever turned down a raise? I don’t think so. Go read some Ayn Rand. It’ll do you good.
