Change we deserve?

PenniesMichelle Malkin:

In a memo to be sent to Republican members today, the leadership hints at a new slogan building on the change message that has already been shown to have political resonance with a public unhappy with the nation’s direction.

… “Through our “Change You Deserve” message and through our “American Families Agenda,” House Republicans will continue our efforts to speak directly to an American public looking for leaders who will offer real solutions for the challenges they confront every day,” said the memo prepared for lawmakers.

Did we deserve it when they were larding up the budget with all that pork?  Did we deserve the Gang of Fourteen?  Do we deserve a massive government debt thanks to entitlements?  Did we deserve it every time they tacked left and capitulated to the Democrats?  A lot of us worked hard and donated to gain a Republican majority and they squandered it.  We deserve an apology and a clear change of direction, Contract With America-style, but it’s a pretty safe bet what we’re going to get is a lot of liberal talking points repackaged to be more palatable to moderates and that conservatives will be expected to swallow whole “for the good of the party.”

Not this time.  I’m not playing anymore.
