A Good Plan

I just can’t seem to get going today. Luckily, I work in a home office, so I don’t have to pretend to be busy and hide the web surfing or solitaire when the boss walks past my cube.
Instead, I went out and picked up a bunch of the downed branches from my yard. There’s an old expression, ‘there’s no great loss without some small gain,’ and if there’s any benefit to the occasional hurricane, I guess it’s that it trims my oak tree for me. The arborist savings isn’t nearly what it costs to prepare for a hurricane and/or evacuate (we did both for Gustav) but it’s at least something…in the meantime, I’m going to get away from the computer for a little while. Yet another reason to be thankful for my job; I have the option.
