Tonight’s debate “moderator” is in the tank for Obama:

But Fox News (excuse me, Faux News) is absolutely untrustworthy and if a Democrat chooses to boycott it, he’s just speaking truth to Murdoch. Standing up against The Man. Refusing to legitimize the Rethuglican propaganda machine.
Pray, Laura. Hard.
My understanding is that each candidate’s team has the chance to OK the interviewers (in fact I’d guarantee it, given the level of detailed negotiation that goes into what size glasses will be used, what type of word for the lecterns, etc!) Further, I understand that her book was public knowledge at the time that ‘vetting’ was conducted. If McCain’s team objected I don’t think it would have been seen negatively - objecting to Ifill because of who she is could be portrayed as unreasonable by some dishonest commentators, but objecting because she wrote a book about one of the candidates seems eminently reasonable. Why, then, do you think McCain’s campaign didn’t object?
Things turned out fine, although I think Ifill has a tendency to ask two or three rather dumb questions per debate. For example, Ifill asked the debaters, “How do you disagree with your candidate,” which Palin surprisingly managed to ace with her ANWR answer. The “Describe your biggest weakness” question was also idiotic.
