New Member of the Family

Because this recent rash of posts about my personal life is doubtless fascinating, here’s one more. This is what I’ve been up to all day – helping a new member of the family get acclimated, and ensuring my two cats don’t devour him. He’s tentatively named Mel (actually, Melville Fitzgerald Curtis, but Mel for short) although that may change over the next few days if his personality seems to warrant it.

If you’re missing the old Pursuing Holiness, please just bear with me a few more days.  Things are getting back to normal around here – well, as normal as they ever were.  :-)   With regard to the medical issues, now we’re out of the hospital and getting into a pattern of home care.  It’s going to be a very long haul, and it’s unlikely I’ll mention it again until there’s something good to report.  God is working in this situation, and we are all being blessed by it, as odd as that may sound.  Adversity continues to grow our faith, and we are grateful and learning to trust God more than we ever have.

    He is too cute!

I am still praying on the “family situation” and am glad to hear that you can see the Lord working in it. Deepening faith is always a good thing and when we think we can’t have anymore faith than we already do … God shows us that faith is like His love … there is a never ending fountain of it if we will only tap into it. :)
