Quote of the day

quote1Contrary to what Nancy Pelosi would have us believe, liberals don’t make up a majority of the country. Exit polling in 2008 showed they made up about 22% of the electorate. That’s why Obama didn’t run on a platform of remaking our entire economic system or spending more in a month than George Bush did in seven years on two wars and Katrina. Instead, he ran on “going line by line” through the budget, a net decrease in spending, tax cuts and lots of mushy, soothing rhetoric.

So, What About the Other 78%? A small minority of passionate, well-informed people with a good grasp of history can’t carry the whole lot of couch potato American Idol watchers who ignorantly, blissfully voted for “hope and change.”   They’re not True Believers in Pelosi’s liberalism.  They’re lazy, greedy, instant gratification class-enviers who would have happily voted for Mike Huckabee, whose populist schtick was uncomfortably close to Obama’s.  They will demand more and still more until the statist, socialist system they insisted on having collapses and crushes them.
