I read this headline and figured some hippie named their kid “Civility.” Then that kid grew up to work (the irony!) at MSNBC: ‘Liberal TV Host Rachel Maddow Works for Civility.’ But sadly, I was wrong.
I thought Europe would keep drifting toward anti-semitism. I may have been wrong; at least, this walkout is a signal that there are some limits to it.
I thought the Obama administration would go out of their way to help poor children, especially poor black children, get a good education. I was wrong.
I thought the Obama administration and the Democratic Congress would pass legislation legalizing illegal aliens and opening the border wide – shamnesty beyond John McCain’s wildest dreams. I was wrong; they’re evidently skipping all the pesky legal stuff and going straight for the shamnesty.
I thought I couldn’t be more pleased about the Tea Party Protests. But after seeing this headline, I have to admit – I was wrong. h/t Insty
I indulged in a rant against Meghan McCain because she’s a vacuous twit. I still think I was correct, but wrong in execution. Plus, I really don’t care that much if she does help take the GOP down. The GOP was once a third party which ultimately beat out the Whigs. If the GOP becomes a party for which conservatives cannot vote, then sooner or later a third party will rise from the ashes. Like a phoenix! Or not. Bottom line: when half the electorate is stupid enough to elect Obama, and when the Democrats open the borders wide and create 20 million new Democratic voters, the GOP’s record idiocy is a moot point. This isn’t going to be recoverable until people get a belly full of consequences. At that point it’ll be “anybody but a Democrat” and devil take the hindmost in that stampede.
I thought Andrew Sullivan couldn’t beclown himself further. I was wrong. He’s evidently determined to give Glenn “Socky” Greenwald a run for his money.
In my quest to reduce expenses because we’re going Galt, I thought I’d never find an easy and cheap yogurt recipe. Way wrong. This crock pot yogurt was so easy even I couldn’t mess it up. When the yogurt was finished, I drained it to about sour cream thickness. Genius that I am, I don’t have any good fruit in the house, but I added a bit of Splenda and a little vanilla extract (which thinned it out some, but it was well-drained and very thick to start with) and it was excellent. Since it freezes well, I’ll be making this on a regular basis.
So to sum up: I’m wrong, wrong, wrong.
