I think it is understandable that Obama's children off the limits for interviews. In a campaign machine which is orchestrated so well you can not risk any mistakes. [Note from Laura - except they were NOT off limits for interviews... he had them right out in front, and they were repeatedly interviewed, until it people criticized him for it. But I don't object to that; I think he should have blocked them from the press all along. What I object to is the claim that he protected his children from the press during the election (which, again, he didn't) and therefore they are forevermore off limits, BUT that the Palin children (who were not on magazine covers and repeatedly interviewed, and were better protected from the press than the Obama children were) are somehow "fair game."
