Worn Out

hellokittyexhaustMan, I’m exhausted.  This weekend has worn me out.  We entertained, then caravaned to the Baton Rouge Tea Party rally.  Oh, you didn’t hear that there were tea parties all over the country?  Yes, well, the media for the most part didn’t cover them.  Disgraceful.  Surprisingly – or not so, because Allahpundit is on vacation and Ed’s probably starved for content – my post made the front page of Hot Air.  If I’d guessed it would, I’d have taken more time writing it, but I was so tired… I just wanted to get the pics up and take note of the event.

Speaking of “disgraceful media” the flood the zone coverage of Michael Jackson’s death is absolutely stomach-churning.  I’m hardly a fan of the guy, and I am for the most part a fan of Congressman Peter King.  While this King video smacks down the media on their “King of Pop” coverage, I do think it’s worth noting that Jackson was acquitted.  Do I still think he was guilty?  Yeah, I do.  He was a freak; and by his own admission he slept in the same bed with those boys.  But he was legally judged not guilty, so flat-out statements that “he was a child molester” and references to “Jesus juice” seem a little unfair without noting the fact of the acquittal.  Just sayin’…. now, that said, YES, wholeheartedly YES, I agree the troops ought to be honored instead of Jackson, regardless of his innocence of lack thereof.  They are the real heroes and deserve to be honored.

Vertical seating on flights?  I’d gladly pay a reduced fare and have “bar stool” style seating.  But what about safety issues?  And I don’t see the point of making it entirely free; how does that benefit the airline?

This is how I clean my keyboard.  Usually after I’ve knocked over my coffee into it.  How about you?

Post-Katrina Eclectic.  Oh, yeah… if I could knock down my house and start over I’d go wild like some of these people have.

A Loyola professor plays online video game according to the rules and gets death threats for his trouble.

And here are some important numbers about the socialist health care system that is about to be rammed down our throats.  (And you know it will be.)

90: Number of days, on average, each Canadian patient must wait for an MRI under the Canadian government-run health care system.

The last time I needed an MRI, I went and got one. Not three months later… I got it the next week, and that, only because it wasn’t an emergency and my doctor referred me for it on a Thursday.
