I haven’t been around much – in truth, it’s been quite a year, with various unbloggable things going on in my family causing lengthy absences. A bright spot… my daughter was married this weekend. The flip side… the wedding was moved up because her husband will be deployed to Iraq in January. So even when there’s good news to report, it’s balanced by some difficulty.
But the biggest thing stopping me from blogging these days is when I look at the news, my universal response lately is:
Are you f___ing kidding me?
They claim Medicare – which is bankrupt!! – is a big success and we need Medicare for all? Are you f___ing kidding me? Single payer doesn’t lead to rationing (Canada and the UK notwithstanding) or shortages (Masscare, Tenncare, Dirigicare)? Are you f___ing kidding me?
Van Jones is a patriotic, heroic, fanf__ingtabulous human being who was unfairly slandered by people who had the nerve to, errr… quote him accurately? Are you f___ing kidding me? Then after a media blackout and the media getting trumped (again) by the upstart blogosphere, they want to rewrite history and take credit for his resignation? Are you f___ing kidding me?
ACORN in the news. Again. Not because some sensible person is bringing RICO charges against this national crime syndicate, but because they’re managing apartment buildings. Hope that works out better than those Chicago neighborhoods slums President Obama and Valerie Jarrett organized. But hey, libs are all about helping the poor and downtrodden! Are you f___ing kidding me?
A bill is floating around the Senate to more or less wipe out private property rights? Oh, it may not go anywhere, but for these, these… I can’t think of a printable word to describe how I feel about the Democratic Senators who thought up and approved this monstrous bill. All I can say is, are you f___ing kidding me? Because this practically defines outrageously outrageous outrage. Except there’s about fifty more bills equally bad floating around out there. No, I’m not f___king kidding you.
Since this analysis doesn’t exactly lead to quality blogging (because I’m not Rachel Lucas, more’s the pity – she has mastered the art of being profanely profound when she wants to) I keep writing posts and then deleting them when I realize the general sentiment of “Are you f___ing kidding me?” doesn’t move civil discourse further, not to mention the fact that it’s not exactly glorifying to God. (Although I often wonder if he looks down on us and thinks…are you…? eh, never mind that.)
Anybody know where I can buy a better attitude?

I do share your sentiments and the killer for me (and sorry if this makes it worse for you) is that, at any given moment, half the population (at least) believes any number of the obviously (and demonstrably), false things you list.
oops, forgot to change name back to normal!
LOL – It’s got to be rough on libs to have control of the media, yet lose control of the information flow.
First off, you’re daughter’s hubby is a wonderful man, please thank him for us, for his service, and tell him I pray that he accurate and invulnerable.
As far as your assessment on current events, I’d say you’re right on target. I listen to talk radio alot, and just from the sound clips from the liberal side I end up saying “WTF???” quite a bit. I heard of teachers today replaying the barry speech from Tuesday, and telling the kids that didn’t want to hear it they could go to the “room for the closed minded”. I heard liberals today talk about how they were pledging to be “servants to the president”. On a day when we should remember the people who were murdered, we have a president pushing his agenda about volunteer work for the state. Seriously, WTF. It’s things like this that make me wish for the rapture.
