Over at Michelle Malkin’s, there’s a video of presumably famous people sarcastically bashing the insurance companies which are regulated to a fare-thee-well and make supposedly “obscene” profits. (Which a goodly percentage of America partakes in via their 401k retirement savings, but I digress.) Half of that crap they claim either doesn’t happen at all or is quickly corrected. Just like The Won’s anecdotes (guy died because insurance company denied his claim over something stupid) were bunk. The guy received treatment and died four years later.
Sure, the video is over the top and kind of lame. Olbermann fans will doubtless laugh hysterically. But I’m left to wonder… who the heck are those people? I recognized that old SNL guy from the fabulous “cowbell” skit, who was in that idiotic elf movie. But he’s the only one. Granted, I don’t have cable TV, and I don’t bother watching a lot of regular TV because frankly, it sucks. It’s generally dumb, vulgar, politicized instead of entertaining, and promotes values which repel me. So I don’t expect to recognize everybody. But those actors (singers? comedians?) aren’t at all familiar.
Added: Heh – Allahpundit didn’t recognize most of them either and I assume he’s more up to speed on entertainment than I am. So, what, it’s a cheesy lecture from a pack of C-listers?
