Another classic Jay Tea post - Pretty Ugly, Jumbo Shrimp, And Obama Justice:
Khalid Sheikh Mohammed is not an enemy of the nation, he is a man accused of several thousand counts of felony murder. He is accused of heading up a conspiracy that cost thousands of lives and billions and billions of economic harm.
Instead of doing a series of posts on the many things wrong with the IPCC report, it would probably be easier, faster, and with less risk of carpal tunnel syndrome to document what in the report is actually true.
Speaking of the Creed... somebody else was thinking along those lines, too. That'd be a fun viral video, if done right... it's a pity I'm unqualified to make it. In any event... a week of prayer brings together Christians in New Orleans and worldwide:
At an evening service this week, Catholic, Protestant and Orthodox clergy and worshippers recited together the ancient Nicene Creed, a common bond that formed a basis of their prayers for Christian unity.
The annual service, this year at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral, is New Orleans’ participation in a global event called the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity.

Thanks for this linkage. I came here via Head Noises, as I always do.
I have to say Newt had my vote for prez back in the 90s and even as late as the mid-2000s. Today, not so much. Back in the day, Newt seemed to be a true Conservative. Today, not so much. To borrow a term I’ve heard on Patterico’s Pontifications, Newt seems to be an alphabetist. He’ll support anyone with an (R) after the name, no matter how far left that person is.
And to claim a far-left loon (R) is moderate??? Give me a freakin’ break! Like I said elsewhere to a real Conservative who happens to be a pragmatist, NY-23 is the perfect time and place for Conservatives to yell out to the moderate party “CAN YOU HEAR ME NOW?” Perhaps, the RNC and NRCC will finally receive that wake-up call that was made many times this year.
Tea Parties across the nation were not pro-(R). 912 in DC and elsewhere were not pro-(R). “Wee-weed-up” Town Hall meetings in August of this year were not pro-(R). They were all “CAN YOU HEAR ME NOW?” gatherings of a few dozen (close snark at MSM) people.
The question is: Is the Grand Ol’ Party as deaf as the donkey party? NY-23 is a focal point. Reactions that follow will have their own stories to tell. As far as Newt goes, he has shown he can grow a new tale. But has he shown he can actually hear anything?
John Hitchcock´s last blog ..A Quote To Remember: James Madison Overflow
I can see what Newt was trying to do, but he is lacking in the reality of what is going on. We don’t want the Republican party, we want our ideas to be recognized. We reject the Beltway thinking. Sarah Palin and Michele Bachmann are our heroes. Get with the program, you’re always the smartest one in the room. These two ladies epitomize what we believe, they demonstrate the courage we seek, and the ideology that we need.
