About Laura
The mainstream media story about a few Tea Partiers yelling racial slurs at congressmen was very likely not even true (H/T Dr. Helen). Not that it would be an important story even if it were true, but still.
Finally…Star Trek style force fields on the way. Very, very cool... but I'll be even more excited about a transporter or replicator.
I just have one word: HA!
Also: Ha ha ha hahahaha1!!eleventy!!!!
If I'd known in time that Phelpsians (decidedly NOT Christians) were supposed to be anywhere in the vicinity, I'd have joined the counter-protest too. I don't need to approve of “The Laramie Project” being performed in a public high school in order to despise the Phelps' philosophy and behavior, and I can't condemn them heartily enough.
North Miami Beach's multicultural committee is thinking about limiting religious holiday proclamations to one per religion. My question is, why does any government need to issue a religious holiday proclamation at all? Shouldn't it be the duty of the religious organization to announce their own holidays?
And while I'm at it, why does any government need a "multicultural committee?"
Michelle Obama just says No to Twinkie warning labels, instead taking a more reasonable view that giving parents "information about what's in the Twinkie" is adequate.

If the rules (and Mom) say you have to be 13 and the girl is only 10, what’s the issue? Believe it or not, she’ll probably live if Mom doesn’t give in.

Ten-year-olds do not need Facebook accounts. They don’t even need their own e-mail accounts. And they certainly don’t need cellphones.
Can you tell what I’m getting harrassed about?
Michele´s last blog ..Back away from the bats.
It definitely does not help her case in the fact that her grammar and spell are not where a 10-year-old’s should be. No one should ever use ‘texting’ spelling and grammar.
Beverly Lynn´s last blog ..New Marriages, new baby, new house
Beverly, amen to that. But even worse, having someone speak it… someone actually said “OMG” to me the other day. ::eyeroll::
I think children of 10 years are a little too young to have their own email accounts. The age of 13, maybe 12, seems more appropriate.
ten year old should have a face book and who cares if they have one any way is none of your business if they have one and are you there mom NO so you can’t tell them with they get
[Added by Laura: And this comment is conclusive proof why a ten year old, which the submitter evidently is, should not be using the internet unsupervised. Grammar, punctuation, and spelling are an embarrassment. Really, kid, go do your homework and leave the internet to people who have mastered the English language. You're obviously not ready.]
