Good old-fashioned common sense and calm, clear communication, which is refreshing after this fool’s ad hominem hysteria. No, we’re not opposing Obamacare because we’re racist or birthers. There’s a long, long list of government programs that illustrate waste, fraud, abuse, and mission creep. The Rural Electrification Administration was part of the New Deal – created to bring electricity to rural areas. This was largely accomplished by 1950, yet that government agency still exists (with a slightly different name and mission) today. While the current legislation certainly does not include the words “death panel” it is clear that it is a path a wide, paved, well-lit Autobahn to a health care system where the government determines what care you are entitled to receive. In Canada and the UK, people die from the government’s willful refusal to provide health care. (See Pathway, Liverpool for an excellent example of a death panel in action.)
