Jarred, one of the youth in my church, took a lot of video after Katrina and assembled this fantastic footage, set to “God is God” by Steven Curtis Chapman. The footage includes scenes taken during the repair of the 17th St. Canal levee break, and where the London Avenue canal levee broke, as well as other scenes of Katrina’s destruction. He intends to start a videography company and I think he’ll do really well with it. When his website is ready, I will link it here, but in the meantime he may be contacted through Pursuing Holiness for compliments and job offers.
There are several different sizes, obviously the largest is the best quality, but depending on your connection, you may need one of the smaller ones. Although you could just email the file around, please send people a link to this page to get the video - for one thing, that’s kinder to their inboxes, they can select the size file they want to download, and for another, Jared and I are really interested in knowing how many people watch the video!
You can view the video now via Google Video, or use the links below to download it.

Thank you for the video. I need to be reminded that my problems in life pale in comparison to what the LORD’s power has done down in Nawlins. God Bless You.

WOW! Very powerful. It really is sad seeing the city like that. I even recognized the apartment complex that my aunt used to live in years ago. Thank you for sharing that. I’m going to link to it.

Laura, I would really love my church to see this. Is that possible? Jarred should be extremely proud of this video.

I was really moved by what I saw. I live in a neighboring parish next to Jefferson parish. It is heartbreaking for me to think of all of those people who won’t be in their homes for the holidays. Great video! Thanks for sharing.

Laura, Thank you for Jarred’s very heart-moving video. I pray that many will see it and be touched by the Lord in their hearts, in His way for each one. My brother and sisterinlaw’s house at corner of Germaine and Gen. Diaz will be torn down. Thank you also for the Times-Picayune animated map of the timing of the events. A very powerful, humbling presentation, also! I am linking your blog to my brother tonight. May the Lord bless you and keep you, also your church as you minister in the community.
Jarred’s choice of Jer. 29:11 is awesome.
In Christ,
Charlotte
